Williamson county real estate sales

This is not what the media would have you believe. Yes sales are down, but not prices. If you are planning to buy real estate in WIlliamson county, expect a good selection, and a decend price. But because we don't have a large selection of bank owned properties, the prices are not falling.

Via Nashville real estate - Larry Brewer:

Sales for Williamson county real estate in August 2008 are as follows. . There were 314 residential and condominium closings reported for the month. This was 32 percent lower than the closings of August 2007.

The median prices for residential homes increased by five percent. Days on the market (DOM) for residential homes increased by 24 days compared to August 2007. Condominium closings increased by 28 percent (11 units). The median prices for condominiums decreased by 2 percent and days on the market also increased by 22 days compared to August 2007.

With the volatility of the Mortgage market hopefully at an end, the real estate market should improve for the remainder of the year.

Prices have remained stable, but the volume of sale has definately decrease.

Nashville Golf and Athletic - A historical location

Nashville golf and athletic is one of the best private golf courses in Brentwood and Cools Springs.

Via Nashville real estate - Larry Brewer:

Brentwood real estate - Does anyone know that the clubhouse of Nashville Golf and Athletic center was originally built in the 1700's by Davy Crocketts family? It's hard to believe that part of this beautiful 10,000 square ft clubhouse is over 200 years old.

In 1786, Andrew Crockett, an uncle of the famous woodsman Davy Crockett, received a land-grant deed to 640 acres and had chosen the site for their new home. It was the 10th year after the War of Independence, and the pioneer spirit was flourishing.
Part of the original Crockett home has been restored as the library of the clubhouse.
The sheer beauty of the 187 acre course is highlighted by the numerous views of the rolling countryside. From several of the elevated tees, miles and miles of unobstructed scenery is afforded.

The course has those primary elements that are characteristic of the great golf courses of the world; not just one or two good demanding golf holes, but a series of 3 or 4 great holes. The first six holes of this course are honorable and "a bit of all right:'

All golf courses of merit and all outstanding golf holes have one thing in common-they look absolutely natural, as if the terrain had always been that way, waiting to be discovered for golf.

As golf courses go, the NGAC is relatively young. But, scarcely had the construction scars healed when "Sports Illustrated" recognized the 165-yard par 3, sixth hole as something special. The national magazine sent its photographer to the elevated tee to capture the breathtaking scene of the star-shaped, trap-infested putting surface labeled among the most beautiful 18 Golf Holes in America.

As a real realtor with Keller Williams in Cool Springs, I would be totally negligent to leave out the fact that Nashville Golf and Athletic is bordered by the neighborhoods of Montclair, Carriage Hills, Brenthaven, Cool Springs, and Crockett Springs. All of these neighborhoods are zoned for Ravenwood High school, one of the top public schools in the state of Tennessee.
